Atticus Shaffer (born June 19, 1998) is an American actor, known for portraying Matty Newton in the 2009 supernatural horror-thriller film The Unborn and Brick Heck in the ABC comedy TV series, The Middle. He was the voice of Albert Glass until he retired after S2.
Personal Life[]
Shaffer was born to Ron and Debbie Shaffer in Santa Clarita, California, where he currently lives with them and five cats, two dogs, birds, fish, a rabbit and a large flock of chickens. He is home-schooled and does well in his studies. His interests include Star Wars, Lego, and going to Yu-Gi-Oh! card tournaments. Atticus was a Cub Scout but opted out of becoming a Boy Scout.
Shaffer has osteogenesis imperfecta, type IV, a genetic condition inherited from his mother, who has type I. Atticus says that the disability is just a small part of who he is. His character on The Middle is three years younger than he is.
